A global collaboration is arriving in time for spring. Germany’s Bitburger has teamed up with California’s Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
The breweries made a splash last year to create Sierra Nevada’s annual Oktoberfest beer. This year, they worked together at the Bitburger brewery in Germany to introduce the Triple Hop’d Lager.
Both of these breweries have contributed to some of the most important beers on the international market today.
Bitburger is the No. 1 draft beer in Germany, and it has been making delicious brews for over 200 years with the premium pilsner leading the way. Sierra Nevada is also a landmark brewery — paving the way in the craft beer industry since the debut of its Sierra Nevada pale ale four decades ago.
Triple Hop’d Lager is perfect choice for the wave of warm weather ahead. It’s hopped with Bitburger’s special Siegelhopfen blend as well as classic American Cascade, Centennial and Chinook, which offer an exceptional blend of citrus, floral and grapefruit — with just the right amount of piney bitterness. At only 5.8 percent alcohol per volume, the result is an impressive hop profile that melds excellently with this crisp, smooth lager.
This beer is available at select Acme Fresh Market, Giant Eagle and Fishers Foods locations for a limited time this month. The beer can also be found at your favorite bottle shops, including Mustard Seed Market & Cafe, Lizardville and 101 Bottles of Beer on the Wall.
