Joyful Tastes of Life

Akron General Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service (VNS) will hold its fourth annual “Joyful Tastes of Life” benefit Thursday, October 10 from 6-9 p.m. at St. George’s Family Center, 3204 Ridgewood Road, Akron. This fun, casual evening features wines from around the world, craft beer from local breweries, and signature food items prepared by the area’s finest restaurants (see list of participating vendors below). Sue Wilson, WQMX Program Director/Morning Show Co-Host, and Tim Daugherty, WONE Program Director, will be emcees for the evening.

The evening includes a silent auction, exciting raffle and live music. Only 1,500 raffle tickets are available for a $1,800 vacation package to The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia, which includes a three-night stay for two, plus a $500 resort credit for food or activities. The second place raffle prize is $500 cash and third place is a 32” TV.

Event tickets are $50 each and raffle tickets are $10 per ticket or 6 for $50, with all proceeds going toward end-of-life patient care and supportive services at Hospice of VNS.
