5/25 Brunswick Memorial Day Program and Parade: The Program begins at 10 a.m. at the Visintainer School grounds on Pearl Road and is followed by a parade to Westview Cemetery. 10 a.m.
5/25 Granger Township Memorial Day Parade: Activities begin with a parade from Highland Middle School to Granger Fairview Cemetery. 9 a.m.
5/25 Hinckley Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony: The Memorial Day parade begins at Our Lady of Grace Church and ends at the township Hall. 9 a.m.
5/25 Lodi Memorial Day Parade: Parade starts at the American Legion Hall and marches to Woodlawn Cemetery. 9 a.m.
5/25 Medina Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade: The festivities begin at the Medina County Courthouse on Public Square. There will be a brief ceremony at 10 a.m. and a parade to Spring Grove Cemetery.
5/25 Medina Vietnam Veterans Memorial: This service begins at 1:15 p.m.
5/25 Seville Memorial Day Parade: The parade begins in front of First Baptist Church. 1 p.m.
5/25 Spenser Parade and Ceremony: The parade begins at the Old School and continues to the cemetery for a ceremony. 9 a.m.
5/25 Valley City Memorial Day Parade: The parade at the Township Community Center. 11 a.m.
5/25 Wadsworth Pancake Breakfast and Memorial Day Parade: The parade forms in front of the American Legion and VFW hall. The Wadsworth American Legion will also be serving a Memorial Day pancake breakfast. 10:30 a.m.
Portage County:
5/25 Aurora Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony: American Legion Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park and ends at the Aurora Memorial Cemetery. 9 a.m.
5/25 Richfield Village Memorial Day Ceremony: Ceremony begins at Fairview Cemetery at 8 a.m. Second Ceremony and Somber Walk to the West Richfield Cemetery begins at 9:30 a.m.
5/25 Rootstown Memorial Day Parade and Flag Raising: This event is sponsored by Rootstown Lions Parade and begins at NEOMED at 10 a.m.
5/25 Suffield Memorial Day Parade: The parade begins at Catherine Street and continues west on Waterloo Road to the Suffield Elementary School. 2 p.m.
Summit County:
5/25 Downtown Akron PeaceMakers 5th annual Peace Walk: Walk the 2-mile course along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail 11:30 a.m. The walk begins and ends at Lock 3 Park. Registration is $5, and proceeds benefit local veterans. 11:30 a.m.
5/25 Bath Township’s 15th Annual Memorial Day Observance: This event is at Bath Veterans Memorial Park. Kathleen Slattery will lead songs and the Revere High School marching band will provide patriotic music. 12 p.m.
5/25 City of Green Memorial Day Parade, Ceremony, & Pancake Breakfast: A pancake breakfast starts at 7 a.m. at Fire Station #1 and the parade begins at 10 a.m., followed by a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Green Veterans Memorial Park at noon. A community picnic will immediately follow the Memorial Ceremony.
5/25 Hudson Memorial Day Parade: The Annual Memorial Day Parade is sponsored and organized by the American Legion. The parade starts at Milford Road and State Route and proceeds north on State Route 91 to Markillie Cemetery. 10 a.m.
5/23 Kenmore Community Days Parade: The parade begins at Kenmore High School and ends at festival grounds at Prentiss Park. 11 a.m.
5/24 Kenmore Memorial Day Weekend Fireworks Spectacular: Come to Prentiss Park and enjoy the only Memorial Day Fireworks display in the Akron Area. 9:45 p.m.
5/25 Lakemore Memorial Day Parade: The parade begins on Canton Road and continues on to Lake Road, where it stops at the Memorial Triangle for a memorial service. 1 p.m.
5/25 New Franklin Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Service: The parade begins at Grace Bible Church on Manchester Road. Trophies will be given out for Best Decorated Float, Best Decorated Car and Best Decorated Bicycle. A Remembrance Service will follow the parade at the Gazebo at Manchester Cemetery. 10 a.m.
5/25 Peninsula/ Boston Township Memorial Day Festivities: Valley Fire District will serve coffee and doughnuts at the Boston Township Service Garage at 9 a.m., and there will be a memorial service at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. The Peninsula parade will begin at Boston Township Hall and travel to Cedar Grove Cemetery. 11 a.m.
5/25 Copley Memorial Day Parade: The parade leaves from Copley-Fairlawn Middle School and continues to the Copley Veterans Cemetery. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be in the gymnasium of Copley-Fairlawn Middle School. 10 a.m.
5/25 The 83rd Cuyahoga Falls Memorial Day Parade: The parade begins on Portage Trail and ends at the Oakwood Cemetery. Those with smartphones may download the app ParadeTrak from the Apple App Store or from the Google Play Store to track parade entries from start to finish. 9 a.m.
5/25 The Cuyahoga Falls Memorial Day Service: This service begins in the veterans section of Oakwood Cemetery. The speaker is World War II veteran Bernie Rarein. There also will be a flyover from the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard 112th Fighter Squadron from Toledo. Lawn chairs are recommended. 11 a.m.
5/25 Stow Memorial Day Program: A march to the Veterans monument at the Stow Cemetery will begin the ceremony, where the VFW color guard will post the colors. The Stow Munroe Falls High School Symphonic Band will perform. 10:15 a.m.
5/25 Tallmadge Memorial Day Parade and Service: The parade forms at Our Lady of Victory Church parking lot and travels to the NEW entrance of Tallmadge Cemetery, where services will be held at the speakers stage. 9:30 a.m.
5/25 Tallmadge Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast: Pancakes will be served at the Tallmadge Community Center. 8 a.m. to Noon.
5/25 West Akron Memorial Day Service: This ceremony will be held in the Civil War Memorial Chapel at Glendale Cemetery. 9 a.m.
Stark County:
5/22-5/25 Jackson Township 4th Annual Field of Honor/Field of Heroes: On Memorial Day weekend at the Jackson Township Safety Center, see close to 1,000 American flags flying row upon row to honor our heroes. Community members can pay tribute to their personal heroes by contributing a $35 flag to fly in the Memorial Day display.

5/25 Hartville Memorial Day Procession and Service: Meet at Village Hall with a procession to Memorial Park for service. 9 a.m.
5/25 Massillon Memorial Day Parade & Ceremonies: At 8:45 a.m., a service for Massillon’s deceased policemen will be held near the Policemen’s Memorial. Following this, there will be a rifle salute and a parade, starting near Veterans Memorial Park and ending at Massillon Cemetery. 9:30 a.m.
5/25 North Canton Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony: The parade will march to N. Main Street, and end at the Memorial in Bitzer Park, where a ceremony of remembrance will take place. 9 a.m.-11 a.m.
5/25 Uniontown Veteran’s Memorial Day Service: This year’s service honors four Vietnam veterans at Uniontown Community Park. 1:30 p.m.
