Liz Mozzocco, Music Director at WAPS The Summit 91.3FM, has been invited to speak on an official panel at the South by Southwest Music Conference this week in Austin, Texas.
The panel, called the "Adult Rock Music Meeting," will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, March 14th. Panelists will hear unreleased music and discuss its potential for airplay on their radio stations.
"I'm excited to hear unreleased songs and talk about the way we choose music at an independent public radio station," Mozzocco said. "We'll be giving attendees an inside look into how radio stations make music decisions."
Other panelists at the Adult Rock Music Meeting include radio programmers for satellite radio, stations in Chicago, Minneapolis and Philadelphia, as well as the host of the nationally-syndicated Acoustic Café radio program.
Mozzocco will appear on behalf of The Summit, where she has been the Music Director since 2008. In addition to programming new music on the Summit, she is the midday host and host of a weekly specialty hour called Liz's Found Sound.
